Enfield Clubhouse is a small independent charity set up to help people with mental illness recover purposeful lives in the community. We aim to help people with the most severe and enduring mental health problems such a schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder (or manic depression), psychotic depression and anxiety disorders find and sustain meaningful work, social lives and supportive relationships.
Enfield Clubhouse has been operational since March 2006 and currently opens two days a week (Wednesdays and Fridays)
Address: Enfield Clubhouse, Room 10,
Community House, 311 Fore Street, Edmonton, London N9 0PZ.
Phone us on 020 8373 6387 or via email [email protected]
Volunteering is a great way to gain pre-work experience or of helping to fill up those retirement hours, whilst also enabling you to make a satisfying & fulfilling contribution to your community.
Volunteers can make a valuable contribution to the daily functioning of Clubhouse by bringing a specialist skill, providing specialist advice, or by supporting and encouraging individual members in their chosen activities.
Examples of how a volunteer could contribute include:-
Working one to one with individual members to encourage and help them to find & maintain employment
Help find or deliver training opportunities
Help organise group activities
Offer specific guidance in areas of expertise
Help with Administration, IT, or Book keeping
Help raise funds and apply for grants
Contact us for an informal chat if you are interested in becoming a volunteer
