Our volunteers

Meet Our Voluteers

Claire Fisher

Claire has been volunteering with Enfield Club House since May 2021, helping to set up the first allotment working group and later establish our community allotment. Claire has lived experience of mental health and is passionate about enabling people to access supportive therapies.

Stephen Kannaakara

Stephen has been a valued Club House member for the past 10 years. He is very much involved in helping set up and support the  art therapy group and is a passionate artist himself.

Become a voluteer

Volunteering can be rewarding and can have a huge impact on under resourced services in the borough.  You can volunteer from just 2 hours a week to five days a week!
Whether you're good at admin, gardening, making tea, art or being good company to chat and support our activities, we could always do with an extra pair of hands.

Volunteering is a great way to gain pre-work experience or of helping to fill up those retirement hours, whilst also enabling you to make a satisfying & fulfilling contribution to your community.

Volunteers can make a valuable contribution to the daily functioning of Clubhouse by bringing a specialist skill, providing specialist advice, or by supporting and encouraging individual members in their chosen activities.

Examples of how a volunteer could contribute include:

• Working one to one with individual members to encourage and help  them to find & maintain employment

• Help find or deliver training opportunities

• Help organise group activities

Enfield Clubhouse aims to help people with the most severe and enduring mental health problems such as
schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder (or manic depression), psychotic depression and anxiety disorders
to find and sustain meaningful work, social lives and supportive relationships.
