Enfield Clubhouse - life support for recovery from mental illness

What is a webshop?

A webshop is a shop front (a web site) on the internet, that provides you with access to many well-known, popular online retailers.

Why use a webshop?

When you use a webshop, the retailer from whom you make your purchase will make a donation to your chosen charity. I am hoping that you will choose Enfield Clubhouse, please!

How much do the retailers give to charity?

Some online retailers donate a % of the purchase price of what you buy (anywhere between approx 1-8%), others give a fixed amount depending on what you buy or take out(e.g. £9 or £30).

The different webshops have different arrangements, even when the online retailer is exactly the same - the amounts donated to charity may well differ, so you may think it is worth while looking on all 3 of the webshops that Enfield Clubhouse has registered with, so as to find the best deal for yourself, and also for the charity.

What online retailers are available via the webshops?

The retailers cover just about everything e.g. Insurance companies, bank products such as credit cards and ebonds, even mortgages, holiday companies, ebay, Sky, Amazon, John Lewis, M&S, the supermarkets, Which, mobile phone packages, gym membership, National Trust membership, energy companies and the list goes on, and on.

The 3 webshops have some of the same online retailers e.g. all of them have Amazon but Amazon donates different amounts to charity depending on the webshop being used, and some online retailers are different across the 3 webshops e.g. Easy Fundraising webshop has 30 day trial of Which for £1 and the charity receives £9 donation from Which - amazing, and the Buy At webshop has Natural Collection donating between 8-15% to charity.

Do you lose out?

No, absolutely not. Your shopping will cost the same as if you had not used a webshop. Well that is not totally true - it may cost you less, since the webshops have special offers that change regularly. So you may benefit financially too.

How much time does all this take?

Not long. The webshops offer you the opportunity to register - this is a quick process - you do not have to enter much information at all, and it means you can receive emails from them telling you about special offers (if you want), and it means you will not need to select Enfield Clubhouse each time you shop this way, as it will be saved and used each time you shop, unless you amend it.

But, you can shop without registering if you want to.
