Enfield Clubhouse - life support for recovery from mental illness

Success Stories

What qualifies as a success story? At Enfield Clubhouse, we regard any change for the better, as a success story. Ultimately, our aim is for people with a mental illness to recover purposeful lives in the community, including involvement within the community, both socially and vocationally. For many of our members, achieving this aim involves a long journey, which may take a number of years. The members here at Enfield Clubhouse achieve many successes, whilst on this journey. It is some of these successes, as well as potential achievement of the ultimate aim, that we are pleased to share with you on this page.

We hope that you will find this interesting, and that it will be an encouragement to you, as it is to us.

I was last in regular paid employment in 2004. I started attending at Clubhouse in January 2007. Two years on, and I can honestly say that Clubhouse has been key to me reaching a huge milestone - I am starting work at the Civic Centre next week!                                          To read more of this member’s journey, click here.
