Enfield Clubhouse - life support for recovery from mental illness
Enfield Clubhouse is based on the international Clubhouse model of psychosocial rehabilitation.
Please note that the following is subject to change since we moved out of our old premises on 12 December 2010.
The Clubhouse's work-ordered day begins at 10am with a meeting to discuss any issues people want to raise.
At 10:45 we do the "jobs board", where Clubhouse members and staff volunteer to do the daily jobs in the house and garden, catering, office and IT work. On Friday mornings some people go swimming or join in with a relaxation group. Some members go to voluntary work placements in the community.
We aim to have lunch at 1pm.
In the afternoons, we complete the daily jobs and sometimes we will have a visit from the Disability Employment Advisor at Jobcentre Plus, a Richmond Fellowship Employment Advisor or Park Avenue's Community Liaison and Development Officer.
We finish at 4pm and occasionally some of us will then go on to a cafe or a pub for a drink and a chat.
